the second time was even worse as i got wiped, all legends, an arbalest, occultist, grave robber, and crusader. the first time was a disaster and i lost two heroes but i had forgotten to buy torches in excitement. However, i have now plundered into the darkest dungeon two times (both with bumper crop in effect so i had every possible provision).
i never had any difficulty with any of the bosses and i haven't lost more than one hero every couple runs, mostly due to bad luck or pushing the party too hard. So i went through the majority of the game doing pretty well for myself and i think that i have a pretty good grip on how classes synergize with each other as well as how trinkets can be used to effectively amplify the main attributes of each class.
